The Hero Games, an Anchorage Downtown Partnership event is described as a “friendly competition between Alaska’s first responders includes crowd-pleasing events such as challenging obstacle courses, tower climb, tug of war, scooter races and donut-eating contest, all involving balance, strength, teamwork and a sense of humor.” To date, APD has provided t-shirts for the participants.  APD has had volunteer teams of officers participate in this event.
